Global Overview
We go back to a "simple" XWS. We keep the actual HomePage + a secund page to explain more in details What's "web2child", "Wiki-Up" and how to make a donation. On the HomePage and on each secund page, we find the "login/register" buttons.
When you register for the first time you can choose between 3 forms :
- School
- Family
- Enterprise/Association
Thomas : To be more precise : When you register you have to say what kind of user you are : a teacher, a parent, or a member of an association. Then, you can create spaces (which are typed : class space, family space, association space). We have to specify if a teacher can create a family space for example.
Pascal : You're right. A teacher can also be a parent. Is it possible to specify it in his spaces which kind of identity he's using ? So, we'll need in the V2 the abilities to have several part in his profile - private - professional - etc
School
That's the form for "teacher" but more common. We target to centralize in this workspaces all the classrooms from one school in one.
We need to create groups as "Class". In this group the teacher can create all the students account and manage them as a single group.
When the teacher creates his class, we ask him to give this informations :
- school
- adress of the school
- school phone
- director name
- teacher name
- teacher phone
- languages (possibility of several languages)
- children ages (possibility of several level (f.i. 6-7,8-9, etc -take the levels on curriki-)
- ...
We have to propose also an area where the teacher can put what he's looking for at the moment (f.i. I'm looking after a connection with an american school, i'm looking after a content over ecology, etc...). This area should be accessible easily and will be public. We have to put it in a tank where everyone can make a search to find "synergy".
Thomas : It can be a little form on a wiki page (not directly linked to Workspaces) to 'create an announce'. Others members would be able to answer (like in a FAQ). What do you think ? Because there is no day for developping that on Workspaces in the V1.
Pascal : Ok because it's really important to create synergy inside XWS
After we propose him to create "class group". So he has the capability to create several groups to find it easily after and selection them more easily when he creates new workspaces and why not workspaces in common with several class, etc
Thomas : yes, so we have to define specs for the groups like : public / private groups
Pascal : Yep
Next step, he arrives in his workspaces on his dashboard where he can see separetly :
- all the public workspaces
- all the workspaces where he participates (workspaces where he made his inscription or where he was invited - own Workspaces)
Thomas : Invitation only.
Pascal : Ok
On this dashborad he find the table where he can make a search to find synergy regarding his interest.
Thomas : Synergy point > announce page, i dont think that we can mix it with the dashboard (but we can put a big link / a big button).
Pascal : Ok. Don't forget the ability to delete an announce. And a search button inside this special FAQ
On this dashborad he find also the "twitter" where he see all the messages from all the workspaces he has access.
For the first use, he'll find in the "global view", all the public workspaces and a "find more workspaces" and in his "own wokspaces view" only his private workspaces and a "create workspaces".
Thomas : What a user will see is : the organization space (the W2C space), the public spaces (by type of spaces), the spaces he created, the spaces he belong to (by type of spaces). There's no 'find more workspaces', but a solution could be the announce page with a little form to allow exchange.
Pascal: Ok
If he creates a workspaces, we propose him to invite people to participate in first showing the different groups he created plus "create another group" and after all the users who put their profile in "public view" + "invite external user".
Thomas : Don't forget the children accounts creation

After, when he enters a specific workspaces, he arrives on the dashboard of this specific workspaces with all the new things (wiki pages, blog, etc) and all the possiblities of XWS.
Thomas : Ok that's Workspaces.
Family
That's the form for "Parents".
We need to create groups as "Class" to give the opportunity to the families to make a distinction for instance between "family"/"friends"/etc. In this group the parent can create the accounts for their children, grandfather, friends, etc and manage them as different groups.
When the parent creates his workspace, we ask him to give this informations :
- family name
- adress of the family
- family phone
- languages (possibility of several languages)
- children ages (possibility of several level (f.i. 6-7,8-9, etc -take the levels on curriki-)
We have to propose also an area where the parent can put what he's looking for at the moment (f.i. I'm looking after a connection with an african family, i'm looking after a content over ecology, etc...). This area should be accessible easily and will be public. We have to put it in a tank where everyone can make a search to find "synergy".
Thomas : Again, that's the 'announce' form i think

Enterprise/Association
That's a new form that we'll propose to enterprise or association to give them a workspace to propose content. This workspaces will be paying spaces. We'll propose them to put their logo and to have the capability to "look" their workspaces.
We need to create groups as "Class" also to give them the opportunity to create groups regarding departments, partnership, etc. In this group the enterprise can create all the employee accounts and manage them as groups.
Thomas : yes, group creation will be available in any type of space.
Pascal : Perfect
When the enterprise creates his workspaces, we ask him to give this informations :
- Enterprise name
- adress
- phone
- director name
- Project manager name
- Project manager phone
- languages (possibility of several languages)
- content

- optimize the security
- finalize the graphics
- introduce paypal for the enterprise workspaces
- optimize the different categories (school, family, enterprise, association)
- allow everyone to acces and post in the FAQ
- make 2 versions FIRST : all in english SECUND : all in french
- Fix the rights issues (profil edition...)
- Fix the skin issues (WYSYWYG is a bit broken, pages should have a min height...)
- Fix the color select (colors displayed <> colors titles are not synchronized)
- Add the list of the children accounts (login/pass) on the creation page
General
- Migration of the workspaces on a production server
- Set web2child.org as domain name
Some companies or associations want to use W2C to concentrate their work around children. Campus TIC21 is an association working around materials to sensibilize children to substainable development. They want to use W2C to collaborate with different groups (educators, families, teachers, expert, etc).
Their expectations are in the attached files below.

- what is include in XWS ?
- What is forecasted in W2C first version ?
- What is specific ? And the cost of it...
